Looking for things to do up at Camp Tontozona? Good luck. The pickin’s are slim, but the Tribune has a few suggestions for cuisine, carousing and entertainment.

Fishing

Bear Canyon Lake: 14 miles northwest of State Highway 260 on Forest Road 89. Forest Road 89 is accessed via Forest Road 300, which is located directly across from the Rim Visitor Information Station or 25 miles west of Heber. Sixty acres stocked with rainbow and brook trout.

Blue Ridge Reservoir: Northeast of Strawberry along Beeline Hwy. 200 acres when full, stocked with rainbow and brown trout.

Woods Canyon Lake: Take SR 260 east for 35 miles from Payson to the Rim Road, FR 300. Go north on FR 300 approximately five miles. Rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout.

Tonto Natural Bridge State Park: 10 miles north of Payson off the Beeline Highway, (928) 476-4202
