Arizona State placed 12th overall in the final standings of the Learfield Sports Director's Cup, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics announced Monday.
Fifteen of ASU's teams scored points toward the award, which is given annually to the top all-around athletic department in the nation.
Stanford won the award this year with 1,455 points and was followed in the top five by North Carolina (1,184.25), Florida (1,172.75), Southern California (1,137.75) and Michigan (1,131.80).
The Sun Devils scored 1,001.75 points.
Eight ASU teams finished among the top five in the nation, including the national champion women's golf program and third-place finishers baseball and women's track and field.
