Cardinals analyst and radio talk show host Ron Wolfley tells about the joys of fatherhood.
Page Too: You’re a father now for a second time around at the age of 46. How’s that been?
Ron Wolfley: It’s truly amazing. When you’re 26 years old you’re trying to figure out what kind of man you’re going to be let alone how you’re going to support your family. At 46 you have a lot more perspective. You’re a lot more sure of who you are and who you’re going to be. Because of that you can appreciate things a lot more than the first time around.
PT: Savannah Shea is 14 months old. How do you balance having a toddler with having to get up at 3:30 a.m. for your morning shift on KTAR (620 AM)?
RW: It really isn’t that hard when you have a warrior queen like I have for a wife. Stephanie is an incredible mom. She does everything she can to make sure my vampiric sleeping habits are able to sync up and coincide with Savannah.
PT: If I told you 10 years ago that you were going to be a father again, what would you have said?
RW: No way. If you had asked me if I was going to be around in 10 years, I would have said no. You have to remember I came from the sea of despair.
PT: Life is good, then?
RW: It is unbelievable.
