The Arizona Diamondbacks will begin defense of the 2007 National League West Division championship in Cincinnati on March 31.

The D-Backs’ season-opening road trip also includes two additional games against the Reds (April 2-3) followed by a three-game weekend series against the Colorado Rockies in Denver, the team’s first trip back to Coors Field since losing to the Rockies in the National League championship series.

The D-Backs will kick off their 81-game home schedule against the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 7 at Chase Field, followed by additional games against the Dodgers April 8-9 and a weekend series against the National League champion Rockies April 11-13.

Beginning with the weekend series against the Rockies, all Saturday home games in 2008 will start at 5:10 p.m. and all Sunday contests will begin at 1:10 p.m. All weekday evening games will continue to start at 6:40 p.m. and seven midweek day games will begin at 12:40 p.m.

Arizona will face teams from all three American League divisions during interleague play. The Detroit Tigers (May 16-18), Kansas City Royals (June 13-15) and Oakland Athletics (June 17-19) will visit Chase Field in 2008 while Arizona travels to face the Minnesota Twins (June 20-22) and Boston Red Sox (June 23-25).

The team will close out the 2008 season at home against the Rockies Sept. 26-28.
