Ex-Michigan QB and current ASU scout teamer Steven Threet talks to Too on One about major changes from a year ago.
Q: Is it weird going from starting quarterback at Michigan to scout team quarterback at ASU?
A: It’s definitely different. I’d love to be playing right now, but that was not the best situation for me. I just decided to try and make a good decision for me, and this is it.
Q: What has changed?.
A: It’s a lot different. My class load is a lot heavier because I’m not preparing for the games on a nightly basis.
Q: Does the prospect of competing for the starting job next year make it easier?
A: It does. I know I’m in a starting battle next year. That’s the reason I came, to be a part of that competition and try and win the job and get on the field.
Q: Are you going to miss those lovely Michigan winters?
A: No, not at all. I missed my first winter when I went down to Georgia Tech after I graduated early. Nobody actually likes winter in Michigan, but ever since then, I can’t stand it. I’d much rather have July and August here than November through May in Michigan.
