When did you know you wanted to become a broadcaster: "In high school when I found out I wasn't good enough to play on the team. I sat on the end of the bench, next to the guy with a microphone. My senior year I went from playing to being the public address announcer."

Did your dad (former player and current Atlanta Braves broadcaster Don Sutton) point you in that direction: "He always encouraged me to write. He said my writing is exemplary and to always write if you can. I feel like sometimes I'm able to do both when we're broadcasting a three-hour game."

You must feel incredibly fortunate: "I'm totally living a dream. I don't take a single day at work for granted."

What's your favorite ballpark? "Outside of Chase Field it's AT&T Park in San Francisco. Between the view of the water and the (television) booth placement, it's great. Pittsburgh is tied for first."

What's your least-favorite park? "Let's see. Who should I offend? Probably my least favorite is the Metrodome. It's antiseptic and has a horrible booth."

What's your favorite ballpark food? "I love the food in Seattle. They have great sushi, a Chinese restaurant. It's far and away the best ballpark to go and eat at."

Favorite movie: "Field of Dreams"

Favorite TV show: "Curb Your Enthusiasm"

Last book you read: "Watching Baseball Smarter"

What do you drive: A Cadillac Escalade

Song you would sing if on "American Idol": "Hip to Be Square" by Huey Lewis.

Worst habit: Used to be dipping, but I stopped that two years ago. Probably being a slob.

What's your ring tone: "Come Monday" by Jimmy Buffett

First job: Chick's Sporting Goods Store in Laguna Hills, Calif. I was a stock boy.

What would you eat for your last meal: Really, really fresh sushi.

Favorite city you like to visit: New York

Reality TV show you'd like to be on: "American Idol"

One food you refuse to eat: Potatoes

Favorite fast-food restaurant and item: McDonald's McRib. When they bring the McRib back, I'm a fired-up guy.

Your hero: Jesus Christ

Your bucket list: I want to pilot an airplane, drive in a car race, skydive and make sure I remind my family how much I love them.
