Sunscreen, hat, comfortable shoes, binoculars and a blanket to sit on.
WHAT NOT TO BRING
Officials ask that you do not bring the following items: weapons, cell phones, pagers, purses or other containers larger than 6-by-6-by-6, cameras, beverages (except sealed bottled water and special drinks, such as baby formula), and food items unless pre-prepared in clear bags and carried by hand in a plastic grocery-style bag (sliced fruit will be allowed).
WHAT IF I NEED TO MAKE A PHONE CALL?
Cox Communications will be providing free telephone calls at their Digital Telephone Kiosks throughout the TPC and in the Sky Boxe
HAVE A PLAN
There are basically two ways to watch a golf tournament. "Parade style," where you pick a spot and watch the field pass by, or "cross-country style," where you follow a particular player or group around the course. Arrive early to reserve a spot, especially if you plan on watching the tournament "parade style." On Thursday and Friday, groups are simultaneously started on the first and 10th tees. Most people watch the action on the back nine, which could give you the opportunity to get a better view of the players on the front nine.
Players are more receptive to requests for autographs after they have completed their rounds, so don't interrupt them before or during their rounds. A good place to catch them is at the practice area, as most players will return there after finishing their rounds.
Concession stands are located throughout the tournament grounds. For lunch or dinner, visit the Fry's Food Court. Souvenirs are available at the TPC merchandise tents, near the first tee and at the main entrance.
21 OR OVER? JOIN THE BANDED
Patrons of legal drinking age will be required to wear an age-verifying wrist band in order to be served any alcoholic beverages at the tournament. There will be numerous wrist-banding stations located in tournament parking lots, near the main tournament entrance, and other areas on the tournament grounds.
WHERE'S THE PARTY?
The Birds' Nest opens at 3:30 p.m. daily and is located just north of the corner of 82nd Street and Bell Road, about 500 yards from the main tournament entrance and less than a half-mile from the 18th green. Daily tickets are $25, VIP tickets are $175. The bands hit the main stage at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly through Saturday.
Thursday: Sunny, high 70; Friday: Sunny, high 75; Saturday: Sunny; high 76; Sunday: Mostly sunny, high 75
IF I STAY HOME ...
