Chandler Hamilton won its first game in the elimination bracket at the Babe Ruth World Series, beating the team from Cranston, R.I., 5-1 to advance to the semifinals.

Connor Woods held Cranston at bay, allowing just four hits and throwing only 75 pitches in a complete-game victory.  James Ziegler started the scoring with an RBI double in the first and Luke Parrish had a two-out, two-run double later in the inning to give Chandler a 4-0 lead at the end of the first.

Cooper Burton and Kyle Pechloff added three hits each.

The Huskies will play Fort Smith, Ark., at 3:30 Arizona time on Friday in the semifinals.
