Herb Sendek's recruiting class continues to grow in stature and national reach. The first-year Arizona State men's basketball coach received a verbal commitment Wednesday from 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward Kraidon Woods of Hill School in Pottstown, Pa., a source familiar with the situation confirmed.

Woods, a combo forward, originally signed a letter of intent to play at Villanova after his senior season at Pocono Mountain East High School where he finished his career with 1,186 points.

He later backed away from that commitment because Villanova had a logjam at his position. Instead, he spent one year at Hill School, a prep school in Pottstown.

Rivals.com ranks him as the 30th-best prospect at his position.

Arizona State opens its exhibition season Tuesday against the University of Victoria at Wells Fargo Arena.
