You know those days when you just need a hug? Those are the times when you need Liam, a 2-year-old brown and white tabby whose middle name could have been “Affectionate.” The folks at AZ RESCUE say that when you pick him up, Liam “melts right into you,” tucking his head under your chin, purring and giving you kitty kisses. He loves to be held and will show his love for you by rubbing up against you, giving head-butts – and even drooling.

Liam is also a playful cat who likes to swat at wand toys and chase toy mice. But his favorite toys are balls of all shapes, sizes and materials. He loves to chase them and play fetch with them. Sometimes, he even “growls” at them.

Liam also enjoys horizontal cardboard scratchers and kitty condos and would love to have one or both in his new home. And, he gets along well with other felines. Watch him live on the kitty cam at www.azrescue.org.

For more information on Liam, or other deserving animals, call Reducing Animal Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education at (480) 598-9410 or visit www.azrescue.org. The cost of adoption is $125 for cats and $150 for dogs, which includes spaying and neutering and some inoculations.
