When AZ RESCUE took in Cricket, a 1-year-old terrier mix, he weighed a mere 3.9 pounds. Today, at 6 pounds, he is thriving and playing with other foster dogs, including a 100-pound Great Dane. That’s no small feat for this little guy who also had to overcome some neurological issues. But after some tests and medication, Cricket is flourishing, the folks at AZ RESCUE say.

Cricket likes to explore, carry around toys, and romp about with his tail wagging. He also likes to nuzzle his foster mom and snuggle next to her on the couch while watching television. The rescue group hopes to place him in a home that has another playful, gentle dog, daily walks, toy time and snuggle time.

For more information on Cricket, or other deserving animals, call Reducing Animal Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education at (480) 598-9410 or visit www.azrescue.org online. The cost of adoption is $125 for cats and $150 for dogs, which includes spaying and neutering and some inoculations.
