Love animals? Consider being a foster parent to a cat, kitten, puppy or dog until a permanent loving home can be found for them.

Kit Kat Rescue in Chandler is seeking volunteers, with the highest priority being foster homes for the animals it rescues. This 501(c)3 nonprofit group does not operate kennels, so the animals in its care must be placed in the private homes of volunteers. Through fostering you provide the pet with food, water and a loving place to stay until he or she is adopted at one of several Petsmart locations.

While the rescue is named “Kit Kat,” it actually takes in many dogs too. And, it has many other volunteer opportunities available besides fostering. Volunteers must be at least 16; hours are flexible. Check out www.kitkatrescue.org for more information.
