Weekends are for fun times, but that can be tough when you’re a dog living in a boarding facility. AZ RESCUE hopes you will come to the rescue of these shut-in canines.

Most of the rescue group’s dogs are in foster care, but the ones that are in boarding need someone to take them out for walks for a couple of hours each weekend. Volunteers also help out when the dogs are at special events getting exposure for possible adoption.

But most of all, these dogs need a friend who will spend some one-on-one time with them over the weekend, take them for a hike, a pool party, a walk around the park, or just hang out with them at your home for a few hours.

Morning and afternoon shifts on Saturday and Sunday are available. Each shift is about three or four hours. Volunteers must be at least 21 and love dogs.

For more information, call Jennifer Berry at (480) 598-9410 or visit www.azrescue.org online.
