The organizers of a cultural festival celebrating Mexican Independence Day are looking for volunteers to help staff the Chandler event. The volunteers will help set up, tear down, staff the ticket booth and help vendors.

The volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 15 at El Palacio in the Crossroads Shopping Center, 2950 E. Germann Road in Chandler. The festival runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A percent of the proceeds from El Palacio’s Mexican Independence Day Fiesta will benefit Xico, a nonprofit 501c3 organization that supports local Chicano and Native American artists.
