How would you like to spruce up your community and help a person in need at the same time? The City of Mesa’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors program is seeking groups to help paint homes of residents who, due to limited resources or physical limitations, are struggling to maintain the exterior of their homes.

Projects may include landscaping as well as exterior painting. Volunteers should have skills in construction and renovation, have a driver’s license, be at least 18, and attend training and orientation. Also, this volunteer opportunity is for groups only, so if your workplace, church or civic group is looking for something to do as a team – this would be perfect.

For more information, contact Michelle Alvis at (480) 644-3705 or visit http://www.mesaaz.gov/volunteer/ online.
