Mesa’s third annual Arizona Celebration of Freedom offers the opportunity to enjoy a day of fun while helping out your community at the same time. The city is seeking volunteers to help run the event June 29-30 in downtown Mesa.

Volunteers will help with a variety of shifts and duties that include setting up and tearing down activities, assisting with traffic control, helping at games, answering questions from the public, distributing programs, picking up trash and more. For most activities, volunteers must be 16 and older, or 14 and older if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

For more information, visit www.azcelebrationoffreedom.org and click on “Volunteer.” Or call Michelle Alvis (480) 644-3705.
