This may be the ultimate “volunteer” assignment. It will take much more than a weekend of your time and will require a financial commitment for years. But, in the end, the reward is well worth the price.
May is National Foster Care Month, and one Valley agency is looking for people interested in becoming foster parents or adopting a foster child.
Aid to Adoption of Special Kids (AASK) is presenting a series of orientations across the Valley to provide information about the foster care and adoption process. Informational meetings are scheduled for 10 a.m. May 14 or 6:30 p.m. May 19 at Lodestar Family Connections Center, 2320 N. 20th St., Phoenix.
