Why adopt one adorable kitten, when you can adopt two? Hewey and Louie, a pair of 7-month-old gray twins, want a home for Christmas, preferably yours. These siblings are mirror images of each other with the exception of different colored eyes and the length of their whiskers. But they both are tons of fun and love to cuddle on someone's lap.
Hewey and Louie spend their time playing and snuggling together. They even groom each other after dinner to make sure their faces are clean - and no food goes to waste. They love playing with feather wands and are capable of leaping to amazing heights, although the folks at AZ RESCUE say they need to work a bit on their landings. The boys also enjoy chasing toy mice and balls.
Hewey loves to be close to people, and Louie has a purr machine that runs long and loud when you scratch his chin. They are also friendly with other cats. To see them in action, visit the kitty cam at www.azrescue.org, and then fill out an application to make them yours.
For more information on Hewey and Louie, or other deserving animals, call Reducing Animal Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education at (480) 598-9410 or visit www.azrescue.org. The cost of adoption is $125 for cats and $150 for dogs, which includes spaying and neutering and some inoculations.
