“If people would give up their Medicare and Social Security we could afford our wars, tax cuts and weapons systems. Wake up, people, and stop being so greedy.”
“One would think CNN is embarrassed by the lack of integrity its reporters have been showing lately. Both Candy Crowley and Soledad O’Brien have shown their journalistic integrity is compromised.”
“I’d rather see crazy Joe Biden with the nuclear launch codes, than Chicken Hawks Romney, Ryan, Bolton. They would put launch codes on the credit card just to make the sabre rattle louder.”
“As a taxpayer in Maricopa County in Arizona, I don’t feel that I should have to pay for the sheriff’s screw-up regarding the lady his men killed while in jail. That should be up to him. It’s about time he stands up and admits some of his mistakes.”
“Why do voting ballots have to be printed in Spanish? Why not German and Italian and every other language?”
“If the GOP is short on funds I’m sure Carl Rove and Rush Limbaugh could team up on a capitalist venture and produce a video called ‘Binder Babes Gone Wild,’ and promote it on the ‘El Rushbo Show.’”
“What!!? The federal government wants to give us $75 million dollars to extend the light rail further into Mesa? Don’t they know we don’t want them sticking their noses in our state’s business? Next thing you know they will be funding public schools, fixing roads and bridges, providing services to military veterans and paying salaries to our state representatives! Oh wait, they’re already doing that.”
“Obama spends hundreds of millions of our worthless money on advertising, trying to demonize Mitt Romney, but he forgot one small problem: millions of people watching the debates and seeing that the ads were all lies and that Romney wasn’t at all like the Democrats portrayed. I can’t wait to see the results of the Nov. 6 election!”
“If Dr. Beato was so frightened by an allegedly raging Richard Carmona — supposedly beating on her door in the middle of the night — then why didn’t she call the police or file a report? Why can’t she come up with specifics — what day this happened, what time? Where are the witnesses to this event? This is a woman whose resume was full of lies — so much so that her 2004 nomination for Assistant Secretary of Health under Bush never went up for Senate confirmation. The question is: Why would Jeff Flake consider such a, well, flake? Could he be running scared of such a solid candidate who served under a Republican president, and is more independent than anything?”

This really is not a vent event for me, however, I am mildly amused by Azcentral.com charging for online content. My parrot said it all when I placed the front page of their print edition in the bottom of her cage (I did not buy it of course, on a windy day it blew by and I grabbed it as unwanted litter and guess what? It was unwanted litter after all) She seemed to be having trouble going potty so I asked her what was wrong.
Her reply, and i quote; "Braaaaawk! It is this paper! I read one line and then it struck me. If I were to relieve myself on it, the redundancy would be overwhelming and far too much to endure!"
There can be great wisdom from our pets.

What is Romney's alternative? Mitt Romney, this week the man who promised conservatives he'd repeal President Obama's Affordable Care Act caused a uproar by saying " there are a number of things I like in health-care," Including the act's requirement that insurers offer coverage to those pre-existing conditions. Romney believed the free market would solve the pre-existing problem, then another hour later saying that a President Romney "descrimination against individuals with pre-existing conditions who maintain continuous coverage." He will ensure that those with pre-existing conditions don't lose their insurance if they change jobs, or switch between plans. And for those with pre-existing conditions who don't have insurance " high-risk pools" that would be required to accept all applicants. The Affordable Care Act, Forbes.com, but Romneys alternative seems to be no plan at all. Federal law already requires insurers with pre-existing conditions if they've maintained " continious coverage." But 89 million don't qualify for that protection. Sending the sickest of them to " high-risk pools" would result in extremely high premiums that " would truly be unaffordable for most of the population, Romney knows all this. NYMag.com So Romney wants people to believe he'll keep all the popular parts of Obama Care, and get rid of the unpopular parts. That's not a coherent policy. Washington Post.com
It's the same position Romney has taken on tax cuts, deficits, and entitements: He's for what ever pleases both his conserative base and centrist swing voters and if that sounds confusing, " he'll explain it later." The big problem with " trying to strategically confuse people is that you actually confuse them.

Venter 4: Arpaio wont' change his ways and if you think Penzone will be different, you're sadly mistaken. BOTH Penzone and Arpaio are beholden to national party politics. Only INDEPENDENT Mike Stauffer will bring integrity back to the MCSO.
