"Well, Austin Hill thinks (Gov. Janet) Napolitano should step down now since she's been chosen by Barack Obama (Opinion 2, Thursday). Does he also think that President Bush should also step down because we voters have chosen Barack Obama?"

"For those of you who are going to miss our great governor, Janet Napolitano, which accomplishment of hers are you most proud of? The fact that Arizona ranks 47th in education among the states, or that it has the largest, per capita, state budget deficit in the country?"

It's makes sense to extend bar hours to 5 in the morning. Come on! We're going to want to get drunk when Obama takes over."

"What is with the Goldwater Institute wanting the sheriff's office to be relegated to a warrant-serving organization and to stay out of towns with police departments until invited? Last time (Joe Arpaio) told (Police Chief George) Gascón that he was coming in, Gascón had a fiesta in the area."

"Sheriff Joe (Arpaio) certainly understands how dumb we are. We keep re-electing him, don't we?"

"Please, Channel 3 TV, enough of 'The place with more news' spiel. I'm tired of it and it looks like your field reporters are too."

"For the venter (Thursday) who thought no one jumped in to after the drowning man, two elderly men did jump in. One jumped in to save him, he was pulled under. The other jumped in and was able to get (second) man out. But they hunted and hunted for (first) who couldn't swim. They are devastated."

"Sixty-one percent of the people are opposed to an auto bailout. I am wondering why we keep electing representatives who don't represent the people."

"We had an accident yesterday. My Dodge Stratus and a Chevy Cobalt. The front end of my Dodge Stratus is totaled. The Cobalt had a scratch. Do I think Chrysler deserves a bailout? Hell, no! Not with products like this. Does GM? If they make quality products like the Cobalt, yes they do."

"Be careful when you go to a car wash. My elderly parents had their registration and title stolen from the glove compartment in a car wash in the East Valley."

"I'm not really familiar with the new math. But if somebody works eight hours a day, five days a week, that's 40 hours and they get 20 vacation days a year. If you work 10 hours a day, four days a week, that is still 40 hours, that is not any less hours. How is it you should earn less vacation days?"

"Yesterday, I was pretty tired after a really long day at work of care-giving. I stopped at Compass Bank in the Albertson's on University and Stapley. The great tellers there got me smiling and laughing, and then as I started to walk out of the store, a kind gentleman gave me a beautiful rose he had purchased. Wow, what a day. I just love the Christmas spirit."

"Get over the idea that presents must be given and received at the end of the year. All you need is love. That's all Jesus, Muhammad and Buddha gave. Share it, share it, share it!"

"There must be a God. My son changed his sheets and I didn't have to tell him to. And he's 31."
