“I like my wool socks that I get for $8 a pair. Then, the government makes a law that requires everyone to buy (or be given) new cotton socks or be fined. I get a letter saying that my 100 percent wool socks will no longer be available, but, that I can buy cotton socks for $12 or a wool/cotton blend for $20. You really think I should blame my sock company and not the government?”

“Finally a step in the right direction, taking food from hungry children by cutting food stamps. I hope I don’t hear Republicans complain when their health insurance goes up because malnutrition among uninsured infants will have to be treated at the emergency room and a lengthy stay at the hospital.”

“If it’s just too much of a challenge for the average Democrat to obtain a voter ID, how in the world will they ever be able to get signed up for Obamacare?”

“GPS workers received a 2 percent pay increase last year, the override failed and it was taken away — except for the teachers. They kept their 2 percent and were given an additional 1 percent. There was also an increase of half a percent a couple of years ago. So, Kirk Rundle, don’t tell us that GPS teachers have been frozen for five years!”
