“If the Grand Obstinate Party is ever going to win any elections in 2014 or 2016 they need to do three things: Schedule a few sessions with Dr. Phil, privatize elections nationwide and have Koch Industries count the ballots, and, above all, don’t use pollsters that gerrymander. Republicans should know that’s the best way to get the worst information.”

“The literacy rate in Detroit, Mich. grade schools is 7 percent guess they must be grooming the next generation of Democratic voters!”

“We need to raise revenue. We need to reduce spending. One side offers revenue but the other side wants revenue a different way. One side offers cuts but the other side wants cuts a different way. The president is offering both and he wants control over setting the debt limit and he want to add stimulus spending to a bill trying to reduce spending. None say they will budge. Who is to blame? The U.S. voter is to blame. Electing the same people and expecting change is the definition of insanity.”

“I don’t know why there is so much controversy over tax increases for anyone making over $250,000 a year. When unemployment drops below 5 percent job creators should enjoy Bush-era tax rates, when unemployment goes above 5 percent job creators go back to Clinton-era tax rates, and the rest of us would find out if tax breaks for job creators is fact or political rhetoric. It could even impact outsourcing. You could call it the ‘Putting Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’ bill.”

“I hope that the workers of America can now see that unions are the biggest destroyers of jobs in America. They don’t allow workers to have free agency and anyone who disagrees with them will be beaten half to death. Today’s unions are not what they were intended to be. They have become a bunch of mean, evil, hateful thugs and they should be eliminated.”

“Obama went to Detroit to stir things up before the right-to-work vote and sure enough there was violence from his union friends. Obama is now the ‘Mob Inciter in Chief.’ The Dems should be so proud. Their favorite, Bill Clinton, takes advantage and destroys the lives of young women and Obama incites riots.”

“Notice how the right-to-work law passed in Michigan: No committee hearings were held, no state referendum was offered and it was rushed through during a lame-duck session of its legislature. In other words, the Republicans knew it wouldn’t pass the ‘public smell test’ so they did it under the cover of darkness. That’s courageous governing!”

Studies show that right-to-work laws do not lead to higher employment rates; instead, they simply result in lower wages, as workers lose leverage to demand raises. Today only 7 percent of private-sector workers are unionized, which is why the gap between the incomes of owners and workers is larger than at any time since the New Deal. " Right-to-work laws simply redistribute income from workers to owners." The Washington Post

Why do the people who write in ignore the facts? Most of your prized posessions, pertaining to electronics, are manufactured in sweat shops like Foxconn who has 200,000 employees who are forced to work 288 hours a month for $1.50 a hour. Most of the clothing you are wearing is produced in Bangladeshi apparel factories who employ some 3.4 million workers, mostly young women who earn about $43.00 a month.

Nearly 1/2 a billion Chinese live on $2.00 a day or less. Chinese echonomist urged tax reform and increased spending on social services." Taxation had so far failed to shape a healthy income distribution, which it is supposed to," said echonomist Gan Li.

This is a open letter to the people at the Tribune. The above three comments were made in one response. They were all considered spam. WHY? When you will print the garbage in the Vent December 16, 2012 which offers no facts, and untruths, why will you not print my comments in the vent and letters to the editor?

Vent #1: Be as sarcastic as you wish, but your liberal/progressive/socialist Democrat party does it worse then the GOP. Your Messiah will soon try to add another 12 millions voters to your rolls.

Vent #2: Why are the industrial sections of this country so down trodden? Could it be the generational effects of welfare? When you don't own anything, nothing has any value.

Vent #3: The election wasn't about the economy, deficit or debt. It was about social issues and big government programs.

Vent #4: Funny how the middle class forgets it got a big tax break under the Bush tax cuts. That's why the 47% pay no federal income tax.

Vent #5: Unions aren't the only reason that jobs were lost or went to other countries, the government rules, regulations and taxes had a lot to do with it also.

Vent #6: For some reason Obama still has to campaign and keep the class warfare going.

Vent #7: Yeah, the right-to-work in Michigan was passed sorta like Obamacare was passed. In secret and out of view of the public. Talk about a smelly mess, Obamacare is stinking more and more each day. LOL

chatmandu002 you said and I reply:

Vent #1: Be as sarcastic as you wish, but your liberal/progressive/socialist Democrat party does it worse then the GOP. Your Messiah will soon try to add another 12 millions voters to your rolls.

You're a fine one to accuse others of being sarcastic.

Vent #2: Why are the industrial sections of this country so down trodden? Could it be the generational effects of welfare? When you don't own anything, nothing has any value.

The industrial sections are not owned by the poor ... they are owned by the 1% who won't invest the money to keep them up.

Vent #3: The election wasn't about the economy, deficit or debt. It was about social issues and big government programs.

No, the election was a decision about whether we wanted a President or a King. Did we want our leader to be a person who was born wealthy and who expressed contempt for the bottom 47% or did we want our leader to be someone who earned his way to the top?

Vent #4: Funny how the middle class forgets it got a big tax break under the Bush tax cuts. That's why the 47% pay no federal income tax.

The 47% pay no income tax because they only have approx 20K per year in income and are trying to raise a family.
I'm sure they would love to trade places with you. They would be delighted to make enough money to have to pay income taxes.

Vent #5: Unions aren't the only reason that jobs were lost or went to other countries, the government rules, regulations and taxes had a lot to do with it also.

Jobs went to other countries for one reason only CHEAP LABOR.

Most all major industries are not owned by a rich 1% they are run by a board of directors and all buisness directorets come from that board. The reason companies started moving overseas is because the EPA under Bill Clinton started implementing harsh regulations that forced the companies to look for alternitive places to be productive. And the unions didn't help any with their insistance on higher and higher wages.

Have you seen any pictures of China lately, their people walk the streets with masks on their faces so they can breath. Thats because they don't have an EPA or government regulations restricting them from being produtive.

The election was won buy the person offering free ice cream.
Remember that Mitt Romney said that if he was elected he would put people back to WORK and 51%of the people said to heck that we want free ice cream.

QUICK! When was the greatest school massacre in American history? HINT: You weren't alive when it happened and there's a very good chance that your parents weren't either.

    Google: Bath School Massacre

Be alert....the Socialist facists are coming for our guns. One trained school employee, armed with a .22, could have stopped the Sandy Hook shooter. An armed pilot on each of 4 airplanes would have stopped 9/11 cold.

This isn't about the slaughter of innocents. This is about the ever expanding reach of government into our everyday lives.

God bless the NRA and G*d da-mn Liberalism!!!!
