“Dear National Guard, please come practice in my neighborhood park near Dobson and Elliot (roads). Let me know when you’re coming. We’ll be happy to provide water and sandwiches or donuts for you.”

“First they keep our kids from seeing Shakespeare. Then they try to discriminate against what books they can read. Now, they are telling me I can’t even see a poster at Victoria’s Secret? Where are my First Amendment rights out here?”

“Alternative medicine is a living expression of our basic freedoms as Americans. Freedom to choose health care is a basic right. If Legislature removes the Arizona Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners, they will remove our right to choose what type of medical treatment we receive.”

“To those who complain about snowbirds, we should all be thankful for them and their economic effect on our state. Also as a native to Arizona, I am shocked that any real Arizonan would be so rude and unmannerly and selfish to other people in general.”

“I am tired of the Catholic Church, mainly the pope, trying to dictate to the rest of the world their beliefs. When I go to a pharmacy, I should be able to get any prescription my doctor recommends, regardless of the pharmacists’ beliefs. That’s their choice not to take, but not their choice to not give out.”

“While Russell Pearce pulls statistics out of the air to prove a crime increase due to the undocumented (Opinion 2, Sunday), the editors point out that crime rates have decreased in Tempe and Mesa in the past year.”

“What is it with this Democratic Congress? When they took office, they were going to work harder and longer to get things done in Washington. Now they are talking about cutting the work week? Don’t they want to show up in Washington at all?”

“The auto and home industries are clearly in a recession. Yet our Ivy League, MBA president continues to tout the strength of the American economy.”

“The victims of (Hurricane) Katrina still haven’t been compensated, or received enough loans or help from insurance companies to rebuild. We now have all of the San Diego homeowners who lost their homes. They need help. But Bush’s answer is to send $550 million to Mexico to fight drugs.”

“Liberals hate George Bush. But liberals also gave us a United States with zero morality. That’s 100 times worse than anything George Bush has done.”

“This is to the venter (Monday) who said principals are not doing their jobs and that’s why there are police cars in front of the school. No, it’s because parents are not doing theirs.”

“We have police officers at our schools because we have crazy kids bringing guns to school. Get a clue, dude.”

“If there were no bees, mankind would live four years, said Albert Einstein. They are disappearing all over the world. Time to quit the pesticides.”

“To the Minnesota venter who says they would welcome visitors to Minnesota in the summertime, (does she) mean both of them?”

“Big-mouth Bob — Councilman Littlefield, that is — has gotten his way. Barrett-Jackson is scaling back in Scottsdale and going to Las Vegas. Who says Littlefield and the City Council don’t know how to drive tax-generated revenue from the city?”

“Remind me again what’s supposed to be western about Scottsdale? I have lived here almost 20 years and never seen a horse that didn’t have a cop on it.”

“Alternative medicine is a living expression of our basic freedoms as Americans. Freedom to choose health care is a basic right. If the Legislature removes the Arizona Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners, they will remove our right to choose what type of medical treatment we receive.”

“To those who complain about snowbirds, we should all be thankful for them and their economic effect on our state. Also as a native to Arizona, I am shocked that any real Arizonan would be so rude and unmannerly and selfish to other people in general.”
