“Thank the Lord for the mortgage crisis. The calls to refinance my house have stopped.”

“Why are the professors of the Maricopa County Community College District refusing to answer questionnaires about ethics and enrollment fraud (Tribune, Wednesday)? We already know the community college (district) is dirty. Consequently, why would they object unless there’s more fraud or ethics violations going on?”

“The way things are going around here now, I would be leery of a kid drawing a gun in school. I’d rather be too cautious than let it go.”

“I see in the newspaper (Thursday) your editorial cartoon of some drawn pictures of syringes. A man drawing syringes is a man thinking about syringes on the job. With all of the logic of Thursday’s venter, you need to get that man some counseling.”

“Did I just hear this right? George Bush speaking (Tuesday) at a Veterans of Foreign Wars convention and he praised every Vietnam veteran for what they did and they should be honored, after what he did to John Kerry in the election by slinging him through the mud and showing absolutely no respect for his service?”

“President Bush has nerve to even mention Vietnam in any speech he gives, especially to the veterans. I can’t believe he said if the United States pulled out of Iraq it would be the same as Vietnam … He was too busy in a political campaign for someone in Florida. Why didn’t he go serve?”

“In the interest of saving time and money, why don’t we just have the 2008 presidential election in November 2007? I’ve already heard and seen more than enough.”

“I’ll bet you $100 and give 10-1 odds that Michael Vick isn’t in prison for 10 minutes before someone says, ‘what’s up, dawg?’”

“I see the NAACP is backing Michael Vick. It’s too bad that Charles Manson wasn’t born black, perhaps they would backed him, too. I’ve lost a lot of respect for the NAACP.”

“The people that are getting carried away about the police dog dying and ignoring the news of the constant rape and torture in Darfur because it’s much easier to talk about small and simple situations than it is to face a situation that nothing will be done about.”

“All of you complaining about the dogs, get over yourself. These are dogs we are talking about, you know, the stuff they consume as a meal on the other side of the planet.”

“To the venter who said religious terrorism in Uncle Sam’s past took place during the Salem witch trials. The witch trials took place in 1692, 84 years before the U.S. was founded. Not an Uncle Sam thing.”

“When I filled out the poll on the senior sex survey (Tribune, Thursday), I lied like a teenager.”

“I am a senior, and I have more thoughts than I have sex.”

“This is for the Aug. 22 story on Spanish phone books. I thought this was the United States of America and they are supposed to learn to speak American. What’s happened, are we just northern Mexico?”
