2nd Venter: Even the Mexicans thought it was Mexicans. Before it was announced that they thought it might have been friendly fire, I heard a report that the Mexican government had arrested 2 people for the crime!!!
Even the Mexican government thought it was likely Mexican nationals had done it.
Would not be the first time Mexicans have fired on our people.
Friendly fire would be NOBODY'S first guess. EVERYONE automatically thinks it was drug runners or invading alien smugglers.
This was a tragic goof-up.
Which indicates our troops need more training.
And, perhaps some form of IFF worn on their uniform to let each other know another BP is in the vicinity.
It raises a LOT of questions. Why were 3 men out there alone instead of in a patrol?
Were 3 men out there alone instead of patrolling as a unit? Details haven't really been released as to how they came to be separated and not know who was where.

If they are so proud of Mexico -- why don't they go home and revolt and throw out their corrupt economic and political system?

To the vent writer of Oct. 12 in regard to your statement about the President for years calling for "shared sacrifice", let's call it what he has stated many times. "it's re-distribution of wealth".
He & the Democrats have brought up the "1%---99% & the Occupy Wall Street vs. the rich" so many times, he sounds like a broken record. When you divide things into categories, & then attach monetary values to them, that's called "class warfare" no matter how you cut it.

Vent #1: Romney stole Obama's platform???? Do you mean that Romney now wants higher taxes on the rich, more people on welfare, more businesses failing, more government control of the economy, no reforms of entitlement programs, more business/jobs killing policies. Don't think you are correct about that. I've heard a lot from Obama about fair share, class warfare and throwing Grandma off the cliff, but very little about shared sacrifice. Let's face it, Obama's platform is quickly going over the fiscal cliff and taking us with him.
Vent #2: This tragic accident is a result of complacency which followed the administration's statements that imply the border is secure enough. A lack of tactical training and exercise was most likely a major cause for this incident. Another example of complacency from Obama's administration is the security of our embassies and personnel in the Middle East. Many of the administration decisions are being made on getting Obama re-elected instead of the security or welfare of this nation.
Vent #3: Romney won his first debate over Obama hands down. Biden won his debate over Ryan by bullying, interrupting and smirking.
Vent #4: Even the best of us are just people with flaws and short comings.
RIP Sheriff Dever and Agent Ivie.
