Out of all the 50 states, plus D.C. And Puerto Rico, Arizona is truly the most awesome. What makes it so great? Take a look around. What do you see? I see a desert. A desert with tons of houses. A desert with a thriving city, sports teams, major corporations, and tons of water parks and tourist attractions. Go up north. Now what do you see? You’ll see a dense, green pine forest with snow and ski-resorts. How many states have that kind of dramatic climate change? Not too many. But in Arizona, you can go from pure, 100 percent desert to snow-capped mountains with forests.
Only 13 cities are home to teams in all four major sports leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL), and Phoenix, Arizona is one of them. Phoenix, or in reality, the entire state of Arizona, is home to the Cardinals (NFL), Diamondbacks (Baseball), Suns (Basketball), and Coyotes (Hockey). Arizona is also home to the Mercury (WNBA), Rattlers (AFL), Sundogs (CHL), and the Scorpions (GBL). That brings the total count of professional sports teams in Arizona to an incredible eight. Not many other states can boast about this. Plus, Arizona is home to three major universities, ASU, U of A, and NAU. The first two boast two major college sports programs. Sports in Arizona is definitely on all year long.
Arizona even has a wonder of the world! The Grand Canyon, in northern Arizona, attracts millions of people every year. It is extremely famous around the world, and is one of the main things people think about when thinking of Arizona. We have so many hiking trails around our state that outdoor adventures can never get boring.
Alongside all this natural beauty, Arizona has grown some great industries. Avnet is headquartered here in Arizona and employs hundreds of people. Barrows Neurological Hospital and Phoenix Childrens Hospital are well known medical facilities. University of Arizona offers a great medical school and with all these hospitals to train in, doctors in training enjoy working in Arizona.
All in all, Arizona is truly the best. No state rivals it in greatness. Arizona is obviously a state to be jealous of. Being an Arizonan is the best demonym to be.
