I was raised with the theory free enterprise and non-political competition always helps develop the best teams or players. Look at all the beautiful buildings that were built by profits from sellout crowds of the Frank Kush, Ned Wulk and Bobby Winkle’s championship teams. All these coaches were tough teachers of practicing perfect fundamentals, pushing players outside their comfort zone and not trying to be their pal first. ASU was a young upstart in the WAC once. Why not help GCU to the WAC and have a game with them, like ASU does with NAU? I believe most Arizonans would respect ASU as a big brother helping and aiding little brother GCU to Division I than squashing their competition like a big bully. How about you?
