The people who view the world from the far right have an amazing ability to see conspiracy in everything President Obama does. Take the “Inbox” letter of Sunday, Jan. 20, claiming that something didn’t smell right when the President was sworn in on Sunday in private.

I guess this means that President Reagan joined this conspiracy when he was sworn in on Sunday, January 20, 1985 and then sworn in again the next day.

Inaugurations are never held on Sundays. If Jan. 20 falls on a Sunday, the oath is then given privately on Saturday or on Sunday and then the public inauguration day celebrations are held on Monday with the oath repeated.

Sorry, Mr. Jones, you’ll just have to look elsewhere for a Presidential plot. I’m sure you’ll be able to imagine many more.

bobunf, thank you for being a reliable voice for healthcare reform and the fact that the U.S. continues to waste more money on healthcare than any other country.

"Starting with eliminating huge subsidies to insurance and drug companies."

VofReason , you must realize that, if the economy grows, a nation can spend more money than it has indefinitely.

The US hardly seems to have reached a crisis point in this matter what with the ability to easily borrow money for practically no interest, a falling deficit, and declining expenditures with the winding down of two mistaken wars and effects of the Affordable Care Act.

Every other wealthy country in the world spends an average of 40% of what the US spends on health care. And they have better outcomes. It's obvious that there are huge amounts of money to be saved in that area. Starting with eliminating huge subsidies to insurance and drug companies.

So, look for a return to surpluses before the end of Obama's term.

Oddly, I agree with Truth (for a today), but not for the reasons he may think. Republicans have to watch how they say things to people, not necessarily what they need to communicate. They need to give the facts that tells the story and how it will effect all Americans. You know, like we cannot spend more money than we have forever. Maybe they should make a reality show where loose people use filthy language to tell the story so more people can get the message. Maybe have goofy cartoons with plots where people take responsibility, work and pay for the things they need.

Yes, just a bit of paranoia on the Sunday thing. Though The Obama Administration hasn't exactly created a groundswell of trust with their handling of the death of the Ambassador and others in Libya. Did they ever figure out what they knew happened there yet? Or are they hoping that people are twisted up in whether Beyonce lip synced the anthem or not.

I see Leon has logged in his alter ego (Ateam1) again to make it appear as though somebody agrees with him. Pitiful Leon, just pitiful. But then I guess when you have multiple personality disorders you're never alone are you.

Leon, you Froot Loop, I guess you didn't watch the inaugural proceedings on Monday, the non-conspiratorial day of the swearing in of Barack H. Obama...?

BTW, Leon, your rant on how the "dream" hasn't been fulfilled?

You need only look as far as OUR president, a man who stands for Human Rights for ALL people.

Regardless of your bigotry, he is the president. What say you? Oh, shut up. You keep bringing up the Hussein issue. Leon Peon.

Republicans should just keep on keepin' on. Maybe get a little tougher on that bottom 47% that is leeching off of the productive workers.

They also need another Rush Limbaugh. He can't be on the air 24 hours a day so it would be good to have another radio personality preaching the right wing path alternating with Rush's shows. Can't ever give 'em enough kool-aid.

Republicans need to "watch their language," said GOP consultant Frank Luntz. In polls, my firm has found that most voters now identify Republicans as a party of "the wealthy" and "big business," rather than hard working tax payers, and it is killing us at election time. Republicans' harsh, disdainful language is a big part of the problem. You don't win elections by mocking the "food stamp nation," saying illegal immigrants should be forced to "self-port," or warning that if Social Security and Medicare arn't cut, you'll "shut down the government." Such angry, "out-of-touch language" conveys a lack of empathy-especially in contrast with President Obama's rhetorical emphasis on "fairness" the "middle class."
