As Yogi Berra said, “It’s déjà vu all over again.”

Watergate began in June, Benghazi in September. Neither a biggie, Nixon a landslide, Obama a win. But it made people look. And they didn’t like what they saw. Investigation after investigation, half-ass congressmen becoming household names, Senators from Bugtussel becoming TV stars. Using the IRS to intimidate the opposition? Searches without warrants?

High Crimes and misdemeanors everywhere you looked, but no one was a crook?

Nixon resigned August of 1974, having lost Vice President Spiro Agnew to the looking in October of 1973. Once people start looking closely at any politician the writing is on the wall. Who will be president sometime in November of 2014? Unless history doesn’t repeat itself, it won’t be Barack Obama.

Just when you need stability, a bunch of stumblebums who have trouble finding their rear ends with both hands and help stumble across the fact that politicians are all crooks, and you get a whole new set of crooks to deal with.
