I urge Gilbert residents to vote in the March 15 primary and May 17 general election to seat four Town Council members. The future of Gilbert's development, prosperity, safety and stability will be entrusted to those whom you elect.
I support Linda Abbott in her bid to serve, once again, on the Town Council. I have observed and can attest that she is an energetic, dynamic and highly effective leader.
Abbott's boundless inspiration, leadership and passion for public safety - both fire and police - are hallmarks of her years of public service. Linda was foremost among those who had the vision and tenacity to establish Gilbert's fire department which today is highly efficient and state-of-the-art. She also steadfastly supports the police department.
Since October, 2006, I have worked with Abbott as a member of the Gilbert Public Safety Memorial Fund Committee, which she headed, and on the board of directors of the Gilbert Leadership Program, which she co-founded 20 years ago. Gilbert Leadership selects and grooms future town leaders from among Gilbert's many talented, skilled citizens.
Linda Abbott possesses a keen knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting the growth and well-being of Gilbert. She will bring to the Town Council experience, dedication and a clear vision of the future for Gilbert.
