There is a leash law in this state. I have talked to both animal control and the police and they have informed me that all times your pet must be controlled. I walk my dogs every night and have other people’s dogs come after us. And when I go to protect myself, they start yelling at me for trying to protect myself. I carry mace with me; I had one guy stand there while his dog and my dog went at it and wouldn’t help me try to break it up. When I maced his dog, he told me he was going to call the police. I handed him my cell phone and said “speed dial number 5.” Are people really that dumb about the laws and responsibilities of owning a pet.
