Today, Footsteps Ministries celebrates the Supreme Court’s decisions bringing us closer to the realization of equality for all same gender loving couples. The age of DOMA has now passed, and, in a few weeks, gay weddings will resume in California.

Footsteps Ministries was founded as an open and affirming faith community of the United Church of Christ Southwest Conference practicing the radical hospitality of our rebel and divine Jesus. He met people, very different from himself, where they were on their life journeys and loved them into wholeness. His resurrection is a testament to the fact that love always wins.

With these historic decisions, we call on the good people of the state of Arizona to support marriage equality efforts in both their local communities and at the state level. It is time to do the right thing. It is time to recognize and respect same gender loving couples, even if their relationships look very different from their own.

Marriage equality is coming to Arizona: it’s a matter of time.

God is still speaking!
