This letter is in response to Kimberly Miller’s letter published April 12.

Thanks for helping me get in touch with my feelings Kimberly!

You’re right... I am disgusted! I’m disgusted with people who are uneducated and misinformed on the subject, have absolutely no knowledge of the “North American Model for Wildlife Conservation”, and that habitat loss is the biggest challange facing wildlife today, or that in Arizona your tax dollars do not support hunting or wildlife conservation, which are funded through the sale of hunting and fishing licenses. I’m also disgusted these same people know nothing about the millions of dollars the many conservation organizations founded by sportsmen, such as Ducks Unlimited, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, etc., raise annually to protect habitat that benefits ALL wildlife.

Although ignorance is bliss, education is essential to all meaningful change. May I recommend furthering your knowledge on the subject of wildlife conservation by subscribing to magazines such as “Arizona Wildlife Views” the award winning publication of the Arizona Game & Fish Department. It is interesting, enlightining, and educational.
