To the 95 Republican members of the House who sent President Obama a letter stating that Susan Rice is not fit to be Secretary of State, a primer.

Repeat three times, Barack Obama is president. Go on, say it. Next, pull out your pocket Constitutions, you know, the ones you like to misquote when spouting your ideology. Look carefully at Articles I and II, and you will find that the president shall appoint his cabinet advisers as he sees fit, and they shall be confirmed (only) by the Senate.

Move along to Political Science 101. Our long standing tradition is for the executive to take the lead in foreign relations, advised by the Senate which is responsible for approving treaties with foreign governments. That’s why we don’t like it when House members with two-year terms get involved out of their depth.

Now, get back to work creating those jobs every last one of you promised the voters in your districts, and butt out where you do not belong!

Ron Weitbrecht

Ron, you are correct that it's not the house that will pick the secretary of state however, does the Benghazi fiasco ring a bell? If a Republican President was in charge would the Democrats just keep quiet ? I think not, and rightly so. As for the getting back to work creating jobs they promised the voters. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it not the Democrats that are still gloating about THEIR big win and a so called mandate from the people to implement their job creating policies? OOPS, it appears the job creating ball is( by their own admission), in the Democrats corner. It's time to back up all those promises with some action!

The United States House remains under Republican control, the United States Senate remains under Democratic control. The Republican members of the House want to know who helped create the Obama administration's talking points on the deadly attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans on Sept. 11.

Lawmakers now want to know who took that critical information out of the White House's early statements about the attack. They want answers to explain why U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice kept describing the incident as a spontaneous protest that was sparked by an anti-Islam video.

Recently, it was announced that Hillary Clinton is going to step down from that current position of US Secretary of State. And President Obama hasn't even come up with a list of potential nominees.

Two Republican senators; John McCain, of Arizona, and Lindsey Graham, of South Carolina, have declared Rice unfit for the post based on television interviews she gave regarding the assault in Benghazi.

Furious lawmakers are trying to get to the bottom of what happened in Benghazi, Libya . . . and why Rice mislead the American people on the recent attack in Libya on the United States consulate.

This would not be the first "Rice" choosen to be Secretary of State. The first one was touted as an expert on the Soviet Union. And she sat on the board of directors for Chevron Oil and had an oil tanker named after her. No prior experience doing anything other than advising Bush 43 on foreign policy, you know, going to war with Iraq when it had nothing whatsoever to do with 9-11!

Looks to me like the second Rice will be more qualified than ws the first Rice. But does the second Rice play the piano? Harry Truman did!

Really? Is it really that important what precise words were used to describe the Benghazi attack? Was failing to name exactly who was behind the attack in a news interview all that critical? In the first days afterwards?

I guess you guys never heard of "the fog of war."

Was relating what you were told, even though it did not have the correct nuance according to the right wing, a disqualification for being Secretary of State? In that case, what about Colin Powell who delivered a real dozy? So characterized by himself. And not in a news interview, but in a presentation before the UN trying to convince others to join in the stupid Iraq War.

I don't recall John McCain asking for Powell's resignation in 2003 when it became apparent that Iraq WMDs were a figment of over active imaginations.

Give it up. You remind of the days of Joseph McCarthy when you would have worried about Communists under your bed. Now it's terrorists.

Let's not forget the Republican House who cut 1/2 billion dollars from Embasy security funding in 2011 and 2012. For the morons who don't believe Susan Rice is not smart enough to be Secretary of State, Susan Rice is a graduate of Stanford University and a Rodes Scholar, and for these morons to make this claim just shows how truly uneducated they are.

It’s not surprising to find those who disagree with Ron’s letter trying to throw other, unrelated issues into the discussion. Nothing like muddying the water to hide the truth. As if the choice of Secretary of State has anything to do with job creation.

As for McCain: He has been a leaf in the wind after he got his tail kicked in 2008 and hasn’t done a constructive thing since he began campaigning in 2006. He is a bitter, ineffective remnant of the politician he once seemed to be.

We can only hope that the feigned outrage by House Republicans is not a harbinger of things to come. We need them do their real job in the coming years.

Pressure is increasing for Congress to conduct its investigation about the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, used the assertion that the attacks were merely mob violence spawned by the "Innocence of Muslims" film (an offensive film). Mislead Americans about the cause of the attack and that the Benghazi massacre resulted from a spontaneous mob protest, rather than a planned terrorist attack. President Obama was the intended beneficiary, through the misdirection effort by Rice, that the obscure movie caused the Benghazi massacre.

Doctoring talking points and using them to create a false impression to detract attention from the Obama administration’s disastrous Libya policy, the president’s dereliction of duty on September 11, 2012, and the troubling goings-on at the Benghazi consulate. GOP House members and Congress must not get sidetracked from what the administration is hiding.

There is a difference between the fog of war, and a cloud of deceit. The question is, did Susan Rice deliberately deceive the American public? If so why, and on who's orders? If that is the case that would be a big deal, and she can not be trusted. To try and say the left wouldn't feel this was a big deal even if it was a Republican administration in charge is laughable!

    Dear "onerebel",

Let our re-elected President, B. Hussein Obama, nominate what ever "lick-spittle" he wants and you know that he wants another "Black" in the Cabinet. He already has "one of his own" and a lesbian to boot. Both are worthless. What's one more worthless "affirmative action" nominee?

The one that I am worried about is if he nominates Democrat Senator John "Swift Boat" Kerry. I can still remember see him on the news back in the 1970's spewing his "Anti-War" rhetoric. I can still see him on the TV news alongside "Hanoi" Jane Fonda as she told hundres of Anti-War radicals and anarchists about how "WONDERFUL and HUMANE"....the "NORTH VIETNAM CHI-COM'S" are treating our ....P.O.W.s.

YES, YOU CAN TO TO YOUTUBE AND TYPE INTO SEARCH...."JOHN KERRY AND JANE FONDA" ....and see those two trashing America to people like the ....Dem-Lib "commenters" you see on this very blog.

I notice you are ignoring the First Amendment. Yes, they have no power to block Rice's appointment. I don't believe any of them claimed they did. They do have the power to voice opposition, and they did.

Maybe when the Senate confirms Rice we can get them to pass a budget.

For all you Constitutional Scholars out there, food for thought.

    Morons.

Ron, since you think that Republicans should "keep out" then you tell that brainless president of ours that HE should keep out of OUR lives. Tell him we don't want his illegal so-called "health" care law. I don't give a rat's red rear what the "Supreme" Court said. Obamacare is unconstitutional and everyone with the brain of a stegosaurus knows it.

(FYI - the brain of a stegosaurus was about the size of a walnut - the smallest of all dinosaurs.)

Dale, are you daft? Condaleezza Rice is a million times smarter than Susan Rice! Susan Rice is a liar and does not deserve to be my local ice cream truck driver, let alone our Secretary of State!

"To try and say the left wouldn't feel this was a big deal even if it was a Republican administration in charge is laughable!"

Really? So where is the "left" outrage at the embassy attacks over the last 10 years?

22 January 2002 Calcutta, India Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami gunmen attack Consulate

14 June 2002 Karachi, Pakistan al-Qaeda truck bomb detonates outside Consulate

12 October 2002 Denpasar, Indonesia Consular Office bombed by Jemaah Islamiyah as part of the Bali bombings

28 February 2003 Islamabad, Pakistan Unknown gunmen attack Embassy

30 June 2004 Tashkent, Uzbekistan Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan suicide bomber attacks Embassy

6 December 2004 Jeddah, Saudi Arabia al-Qaeda gunmen raid diplomatic compound

2 March 2006 Karachi, Pakistan Car bomb explodes outside Consulate

12 September 2006 Demascuc, Syria Gunmen raid US Embassy

12 January 2007 Athens, Greece RPG Fired at Embassy by Revolutionary Struggle

18 March 2008 Sana'a, Yemen Mortar attack against US Embassy

9 July 2008 Istanbul, Turkey Armed attack against Consulate

9 July 2008 Istanbul, Turkey Armed attack against Consulate

5 April 2010 Peshawar, Pakistan An attack near the U.S. Consulate in Peshawar, Pakistan, kills two consulate security guards and at least six others

Now, onerebel, since your claim is " the left would feel this was a big deal", please provide documentation of the outrage of these attacks.

Engaged - Did any of those instances you listed result in a loss of control of the embassy and/or death of an ambassador? It's one thing for a car bomb to blow up outside an embassy, another thing for it to be overrun.

Engaged, the left is trying sell the line that what happened in Benghazi, even with the death of four American's is no big deal because they back Obama no matter what happens. SURELY your not going to make yourself look foolish by telling us you believe the left would NOT be screaming impeachment, and coverup if this had happened under a Republican? Surely your smarter then that?

I may sound like a broken record here, but I have heard Dale state that he was conservative a number of times, but have never seen him back anything remotely conservative. Here is the thing, we actually know that this woman bald face lied to the American public multiple times. That is the intelligance community has said as much. Not even the Clinton style that is only disgracing yourself and your family, I mean like people died and she lied lying. Is this what gets you a promotion in the Obama Administration? If Kerry is promoted, look for mass exodus from the military.

Ron: I see that nobody above me took you're advise but I did, got my little pocket constitution right here. This is directly from the constitution (something you on the left don't believe in). He (potus) shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the senators present concur.......

It goes on to say also......but the congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers,as they think proper,in the preident alone,in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments.
The word "congress" includes the HOUSE OF REPS. and not only that but WE THE PEOPLE voted for and elected said reps. to be our voice in Washington DC. They have the right to protect us from this wanna-be Totalitarian Dictator.

It scares me to think that all schools today teach you people on the left to hate AMERICA and indoctranate you into a socialist /communist mindset.

America is the greatest country on the planet and you lefties want to destroy it .WHY???

Now did that pesky little constitution thingy get in the way again ? because I did not misquote it.
