Surprise, surprise: Obama’s ‘ObamaCare’ internet registration debacle was developed by a Canadian corporation, CGI Group. Our own countrymen weren’t even awarded the contract to develop the system. I know, “lowest bidder”. From what NBC reported, CGI developed the Canadian system and from what I’ve learned from reports about the Great White North’s system, I can appreciate why we’re in a fix. For a system this large and what it’s expected to do, it takes months, even years of working with the programmers and performing a multitude of benchmark tests. I’m not so sure the Obama administration even knows what benchmarking is. It helps develop a “fail-safe” system, drawing out the shortcomings. God only knows, if one is going to create a system of this magnitude it requires more effort than what a few politically appointed hacks can contribute. Yup, “We’ll get it up and running and then figure out the problems later.” What a way to run a business.
