I wouldn't have believed it, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes: The Biggest Mouth in the West (err, I mean The Toughest Sheriff in the West) fronting for another Texas Governor, Rick Perry, who thinks that come Nov. 12, 2012, everyone who is 21 should vote for him for President. Gee, Rick, the election is Nov. 6 and the legal voting age is 18. Can anyone say, "W"?

Even a dogcatcher hailing from Texas would be an improvement over Obama. Come on 2012!!!

Slab: I would take the dogcatcher over Perry anytime. He is nothing more than Bush on steroids.

I haven't seen anything but idiots since JFK was assassinated. I don't expect to see anything but idiots win the presidency ever again. We would be better off allowing a blind deaf man choose the next president. They could parachute him somewhere over the US and the first person he came to would become the next president. That person would no doubt be ten times better than anyone who is in the running.

Obozo has affirmed, continued and expanded almost all of the draconian domestic civil liberties intrusions pioneered under Bush Baby. They are both owned by the banks, and so will the next idiot. The only thing that will change is that a few more of your precious freedoms will be lost.

Likely 2012 was Perry's window of opportunity to run for President. And likely he blew it. "Why" is the question we ought to be asking and Joe Scarborough may have hit on the reason, recent back surgury. Joe had similar surgury and was on pain medications which prevented him for working and even thinking straight.

We are given to understand that Perry is wearing a back brace. Where so, his "problems" may not be natural, but may be induced by medication. The last president to have back problems was JFK. And he lived with them most if not all of his political life. But . . .

Rick still blew it, didn't he. And so have Herman Cain, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. Each in their own special way has made statements which seem to have gone beyond mistakes to reveal a fundamental naivete. We have grown to love Ron Paul for his unique statements. At the very least they are informed. And similiarly, we are familiar with Gingrich's "examples." Like a quick draw gun slinger, he shoots before he takes careful aim, or rather speaks before he considers the alternate interpretations of what the examples he chooses might mean to others.

One wonders why anyone would seek to become President of these United States, particularly at this time! But the question for us all to ask is "Are any of these candidates made of the right stuff?" We can fault candidates for taking positions we disagree with. But wouldn't we be imbarrassed to elect another Bush43? "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice and . . .err, shame on you again!" The shame will be on us!

Yes, since one man from Texas didn't live up to the billing, no one from Texas should be considered. We are much better off with a candidate with a thin resume, Chicago style politics, and ties to avowed communists (Van Jones) and terrorists (Bill Ayers). Yup, but no one from Texas.......

In his 10 years as governor, Perry has created 1 million new jobs in Texas, 40 percent of all jobs created in the United States, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Obamanure has killed 2.5 million jobs since becoming POTUS.
I'll take the Texan over the closet America hating Muslim anytime.

Slabside, there is nothing Muslim about Barack Obama. If you had ever had a Muslim for a roomate or friend, you'd know this. And neither Muslims nor Christians necessarily hate others. If you think that you can judge all 1.5 Billion Muslims by the acts of a minority, then judge Christians by Timonthy McVeigh.

Most of those jobs "created" in Texas were minimum wage jobs, and much of the rest of these jobs were stollen from neighboring states. I'd not classify those as created jobs.

Was Tim McViegh a Christian? What Church did he go to? Was he married in a Christian ceremony? How do we know he was Christian? Think we know that the terrorist were Muslim- think they wanted everyone to know that. That isn't to say that all Muslims are terrorist, but most Terrorist are Muslim- no?

    VofReason,

Were the 19 hyjackers on 9-11 devout Muslims? Are you sure? 15 were born in Saudi Arabia. Tim McVeigh was born in the USA. Was he a Muslim, too? Judging by the cover is never wise!

Better a Texas, God fearing capitalist than a Godless communist like we have now.
