From the pages of the Saturday Arizona Republic (D1): Construction jobs are on the rise again in metro Phoenix, thanks to the start of a recovery in homebuilding... The message: Republicans will do anything to ensure a November victory, including manipulating jobs data.

Don't be silly. Jobs data is complied by people who are not interested in skewing data for political purposes. Anyway, Republicans are blaming Obama for cooking the data, too.
What don't you understand about a recovery?

John Latson’s message: “Republicans will do anything to ensure a November victory, including manipulating jobs data.”

    ------------------------------------------

New Arizona data, by the Associated General Contractors of America, did show that there are 90,800 people working in construction in the Phoenix metro area today, up from 84,500 a year earlier.

Plus, according to the U.S. Labor Department, the unemployment rate for September dropped to 7.8 percent nation-wide. And because unemployment had been stuck above 8 percent for more than three-and-a-half years – the longest stretch since the Great Depression – it’s the Liberal Democrats that have welcomed the new numbers.

“Jobs data ensuring a November win?”

But, the new numbers don't take into account the number of people who have stopped looking for work, and since the economy is growing too slowly, many companies are waiting to see the outcome of the election before they add new employees.

John, Republicans are ensured a victory in November thanks to Obamanure's track record as the worst U.S. president ever. Put the blame where is belongs.

Hmm, it's doubtful that Republicans in Arizona need to cook the books, in this way. They already have a stranglehold on the elections, for the vast majority of districts. We generally only vote for one or two Democrats in any of the top state positions, anyway (like Governor, or Senator).

And, I don't think the Democrats are doing so, on the national level, either. It's not like the report was sudden, or early. It's merely marking a trend, which is that unemployment is going down, albeit slowly. That's neither a ploy for votes, or a surprise, considering the hole we have to climb out of...

It would be difficult to calculate the numbers of people who have "given up" looking for work, since there's probably very few of them waiting around to answer a poll. Difficult to discuss an unknown quantity...are they dead, homeless, living with relatives, etc.?

There are probably companies who are waiting for election results, with regard to their hiring, but I'd say most companies have already projected their budgets, for next year, and probably are padding their expenses, in order to see if they can hire, by mid second quarter. It really depends on which industry, and how much it's tied to the government, for contracts, I would think...

Romney has already designated Russia as American's "No 1 geopolitical foe," and if elected he would apparently "use foreign policy dating back 30 years." Has nobody cluded him in that the evil empire no longer exists ? A Romney win would be "a boon to Kremlin hawks, who aim to maintain a siege mentality among Russian citizens." Romney-led U.S. as a dangerous enemy trying to weeken Russia from within-and that would provide with an excuse for even harsher treament of dissidents. Romney's "outdated manifestation of Cold War thinking " isn't limited to Russia said China Daily. He has already recklessy threatened China's sovereignty over Taiwan by promising to stuff the island with advanced military aircraft, and pledges to send other U.S. equipment to Asia to prevent what he called "any aggressive or coercive behhavior by China." Need we remind Republican that his own country has been the coercive one. "Any U.S. attempt to more deeply involved in these disputes will result in a head-on confrontation between our two countries.
And even if a President Romney were to deliver on his threat to lable China a currency manipulator on his first day in office, the resulting trade war shouldn't alarm China. Such a clash would hurt the U.S. far more than it would us. Global Time
Romney has already created ripples between Russia, China and Europe
