So let me get this straight…

The GOP has been working hard to make sure that “Obamacare” will fail. They have wasted what must be millions of taxpayer money with 40-plus attempts at repeal. This time they are playing political games by holding the economic success of the entire country hostage — again!

The last time the GOP played “chicken” with the debt ceiling, America received a historic downgrade in our credit rating! Then, after this do-nothing Congress was apparently too incompetent to come up with a budget, we went off the fiscal cliff “punishing” working people across the country with new rounds of unemployment.

Now, the house GOP is threatening a government shutdown that will cause tens of thousands of federal employees to lose their paychecks and promote an ideology that does NOTHING to help businesses or the economy!

My 401k has finally recovered to where I can hope to be able to retire at a reasonable age and my home value is now where I could sell without taking a loss; but this is all at risk again thanks to House Republicans who believe that forcing our President into a corner is the only way to get the job done.

This isn’t governance, this is extortion, and whether you love or hate “Obamacare,” this isn’t how Americans expect our Congress to do the work of the people.
