I arrived in Vietnam just after our first 8,000 “advisors” landed there to “assess the situation.” Our leaders decided to show the free world that we would stand up to Communist aggression. We sent more and more troops and resources; the USSR. sent only resources. We lost the war and 58,000 precious lives.

John Kerry fought in Vietnam. He came home and demonstrated against that war because he did not want to see any soldier be the last one to die for a lost cause.

Now he is ready to fight again. He believes that everything is different now. The Russians surely will not get involved to support their ally, Syria. Really?

Weapons of mass destruction: The USA. is the only country to ever use nuclear weapons. What about napalm, agent orange, and incendiary devices? I wouldn’t want to be burned alive. In fact, I would prefer sarin to napalm, if that were the macabre choice. And is a bombardment of cruise missiles over a period of several days or weeks that different from a so-called “WMD?”

So we want to defend international law with a united front? That is what the U.N. is — the United Nations. That organization is responsible for stopping the conflict in Syria. And if Russia and some other countries stand in the way, then they are the criminals and should be repudiated and condemned by everyone else! We maintain our credibility in the world by working through and supporting the UN
