The author of Sunday's letter "Tea party writers get it wrong" claims to have the facts on his side while blaming Bush and the Republican-controlled House and Senate for the nation's debt and economic woes. Ever heard of Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid? Are you aware that Congress, not the president, has the responsibility of creating the annual budget? (Granted, the Democrat-controlled Senate has shirked this duty for over 900 days.) While blaming Bush for the wars, did you remember that notable leftists Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, along with a majority in Congress, voted in favor of invading Iraq? (Granted, Kerry changed his mind after the troops were deployed.) Yes, indeed, facts are interesting, aren't they?

Fact, try taking government 101 for morons. Reagan had 76 vetoes and won 71, Bush had 0 vetos under 6 years of a Republican congress and veto everything under the two years under the Democrats except for the $700 billion tarp bail out. both had it there way. PS IS THAT 7 BILLION TARP THE MONEY OBAMA USED?

@ truth, Two questions for you. Can you post a comment without using the word moron ? Also just curious, what grade did you get in that Government 101 for Morons class ?

Mr. Rhodanz,
Yes, fact are interesting.

This is true. However, this is one of the worst things that Democrats did in recent history. They allowed their arms to be twisted when there wasn’t enough evidence (real evidence) to go to war. The vote was in October of 2002 right before the midterm elections - they should have waited until after the midterms. Most Americans at that time believed that Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11 (through implications linking Iraq to 9/11 by the then popular Bush and Cheney). How could the Democrats not vote the way Bush wanted them to? They would have been defeated in the November elections - and Bush knew this, thus the arm twisting. Bush also said he didn’t need Congressional approval as the resolution from previous Gulf War during Bush 41 gave him authority - remember “I am the decider”. He was going to war, period. Even Bush 41 thought the Iraq War was a bad idea. His national security advisor General Brent Scrowcroft and Secretary of State Jim Baker were against the invasion and tried to voice their objections, but little Bush didn’t want their advice - after all this Iraq War was going to make billions for the Bush/Cheney circle of friends - and it did.

As long as some continue with their ridiculous comments and ignore the facts, yes, I noticed you totaly ignored the base of my comment but I did get my degree. I would appericate logical discussion but reading what is stated makes this impossible.
