“Tired of the war between Flake and Cardon. They’re both RINOs anyway. I will not vote for either of them.”
“Added to my list of pet peeves: Political opinion poll robo-calls.”
“The real problems in this country are due to the thinking of people like Rod Livdahl!”
“Having just read “The Vent” in Sunday’s Tribune, I have to wonder why you continue to print vents from liberals. They are obviously not very creative or original, all they seem to do is parrot the Demorat (not misspelled) talking points. Yawn, how boring! There is absolutely no humor in them whatever. Must be awful to be like that! Thank GOD I am a conservative!”
“In response to the venter who thinks Dan Cathy’s views are distasteful, I wonder what you would think had your father been with a man instead of your mother? Oh right, you wouldn’t exist so you wouldn’t even have a backyard grill! Aren’t you glad your dad loved your mom? Any Bible I have ever read states that a marriage is a holy sacrament between a man and a woman with the intention of bringing children (with GOD’S grace) into the world! Neither two men or two women can do this.”
“Let me get this straight. It is okay for celebrities like Helen DeGeneres (sic), Rosie O’Donnell, Lady Gaga, and Roseanne Barr to support and promote the gay lifestyle, and companies like Home Depot, J.C. Penney, Amazon, Office Depot, among others, to donate money to the promotion of the gay agenda, but it is not okay for the owner of Chick-Fil-A to express his views on marriage and donate to those who do not agree with the pro-gay lifestyle and agenda. It seems that pro-gay activists and their supporters are hypocritical.”
“For those few East Valley venters who don’t read French, Chick-Fil-A translates to Elderly White Christian Bigots.”

Vent #1: So you will not vote for either Flake or Cardon. Then you will be voting for the liberal/progressive democrat who is not a RINO either? LOL
Vent #2: My answering machine gets all those robo-calls.
Vent #3: Not true! Rod makes a few points now and then. At least we still have a country where free thought isn't a punishable offense, at least for now.
Vent #4: The liberal/progressive point of view justifies my conservatism.
Vent #5: Marriage, religion and so many other traditional values are falling to the wishes and demands of the rainbow community.
Vent #6: The rainbow community has a main street and it's strictly a one-way street. Anyone or anything else, not going the same way, is ran over and squashed.
Vent #7: Right on cue, a member of the rainbow community running us over in there usual way, with hate and intolerance.

Vent #5 - you stated "Any Bible I have ever read states that a marriage is a holy sacrament between a man and a woman with the intention of bringing children"
Would you mind showing us where in the Bible it states this? The only two verses that even mention a monogamous man-woman marriage are 1 Timothy 2:3 (and that only applies to Bishops) and 1 Corinthians 7:2 (and the verse before it says men shouldn't even touch women, PERIOD).
So, please show where the Bible states this. Failing that, apologize for lying about your Holy Book. ;)
Chatmandu002 - Calling out ignorant bigotry is not hateful nor intolerant...however, hiding ignorant bigotry behind religious belief is an extreme form of cowardice.

There ARE some interesting marriage rules in the Bible...but they sure as heck don't pertain to a monogamous one man-one woman union!
Rules for taking a second wife - Exodus 21:10
Rules for disposing of a wife you don't like Deuteronomy 22:13
I won't even get into the child sex-slaves and multiple instances of incest (all approved of, or at least condoned, by God)

The difference chat, between the rainbow community and the fried chicken eaters is simple: our nation was built and has prospered under an ideology of INCLUSION, welcoming people of all races, ethnicities, gender, religions etc. I.e. all the colors of the rainbow.
Thus our many laws against such bias and EXCLUSIONary practices.
The rainbow folks practice INCLUSION, the chicken eaters support EXCLUSION.
It is not about political bias.
Hope that cleared it up for you. Your tiresome comments indicate an utter lack of understanding of that simple concept.

Vent #4 - actually, you did misspell it. It's spelled D-E-M-O-N-R-A-T-S. Or if you prefer, D-E-V-I-L-R-A-T-S. Either one works for me.

EV, I don't think that person was lying. He/She was just stating their opinion. And it is a violation for two people of the same gender to marry. That IS condemned in the Bible, as I have said in the past.
Apparently you don't read the Bible enough, EV. I don't know of any passage where God says slavery is Okay. He did, after all, with Moses' help, lead the children of Israel out of Egypt, out of slavery. And did I mention that He parted the Red Sea? Yeah, that was God that did that. With God, nothing shall be impossible.
