The Maricopa Country Sheriff’s Office has many large problems, but one that I’ve not heard mentioned is the overweight condition of so many of its officers.
From Sheriff Joe (Arpaio), to his henchman David Hendershott, officers of the MCSO are huge! I don’t know what these men and women are fed, but they should push back from the table before taking a second helping of whatever it is Sheriff Joe gives them. Every time there is a news video of MCSO officers or I see an officer on the street, all one sees are huge beer bellies hanging over belts and broad beams stretching pants to nearly their breaking point as the officer waddles around.
I know Sheriff Joe’s policies have cost county taxpayers untold millions in settled lawsuits, but I would like to know what the health costs are for such an obese force. Most of these officers have to be suffering from high blood pressure, clogged arteries, diabetes, and every other disease associated with obesity.
Perhaps Sheriff Joe should give up trying to be in the limelight — his and everyone else’s — and work out a healthy eating and exercise program for his officers before they all keel over dead from a heart attack.

Let me remind the letter writer that "obesity" is covered under the 2008 American's with Disabilities Act Revisions. If that didn't stop Arizona Law Enforcement personnel from being fired because of their weight...then the.... "ALL POWERFUL".....Arizona Fraternal Order of Police Union sure would.
I looked at the "biographical" photos of all the Arizona County Sheriff's and like me, many of them could loose more than a few extra pounds; the Pima County Sheriff, the Apache County Sheriff, the Gila County Sheriff, the Greenlea County Sheriff, the La Paz County Sheriff, the Navajo County Sheriff and the Mohave County Sheriff were what we used to call...."husky", if not outright "fat". I am sure that the Arizona Police Chiefs would show a similar....tilting to the "supersize me" side.
Just like the rest of American Society..........Sheriffs and Sheriff Office Deputies, Police Chiefs and Police Officers all across our great State.....don't all look like.......Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu....lol.

It's the system that cost the tax payers millions, some person on drugs gets arrested and he fight with the police and dies because his system can't handle the drugs and stimulation of the fight. Then you have hundreds of scum-suckers, septic-maggots called lawers who have convinced the public these addict's family deserves 5 millon dollars for the worthless member of their family. But if the police stop this worthless drug puke and he shoots and kill the officer the officer's family gets a car wash and the puke sues the city for getting hurt while fighting arrest and the same scum-suckers, septic- maggots lawers get rich. Now there are exceptions to the above but very few.
