So our First Vacation-ista ... I mean, First Lady, Michelle Obama had her "Marie Antoinette moment" getting booed at the big NASCAR Race in Homestead, Fla.

Well, what can I say? When Americans only see the back of our First Lady as she is skipping up the steps of Air Force Two on yet another multi-million dollar vacation (to Spain at a cost of a reported $10 million, the one to ski in Vail, Colo. at a $2,000-a-night ski lodge, and this summer's vacation at Martha's Vineyard at a $50,000-a-week ocean-front estate).

President Obama is no slouch in the vacation department either (it's called foreign policy). So far in 2011, while America was going further into debt, Mr. Obama has visited Latin America, Ireland, England, Poland, France, Australia and New Zealand (this while the "Gang of 12 Budget Committee" was floundering around with a leader).

So far this year, Obama has flown around the country on Air Force One (at $180,000 every hour) to Arizona, New York, Wisconsin, California, Oregon, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Missouri, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, Iowa (some, numerous times).

Is this what America wants or needs in this never-ending recession/depression ... an "Imperial Presidency?" An out- of-touch President who said "...it's not surprising that they get bitter. They cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustration, or an "ashamed to be American," First Lady?
