The state of Arizona has to improve government transparency in order to give ordinary people like me a say in important decisions. I have opinions about policies and budget concerns, yet last week’s budget bills were passed with such short notice that I did not have enough time to give any input. My opinion is that big decisions should not be made at the 11th hour and then thrown at the public with hardly any time to react. Even some legislators complained about this lack of notice. Government transparency is a right of the public and I deserve for my voice to heard and at least considered when it comes to how state money is being spent.
The Legislature should provide more information to the public about its meetings and decisions so that I can at least know what is happening.

Every level of government fails to report the truth on sport complexes, spring training cost Arizona more than one million dollars a year in Mesa.The last super bowl in Glendale lost 2 million dollars, the Coyotes probably have lost the most. The host to the Olympic usually take a decade to pay off their dept. Our leaders use the misnomer that they create billions but what is the tax payers return on their corporate wellfare on professional sports? Just once can the tax payers have the truth. Where is the Tea Parties rage on this subject?

Transparency is good. Sometimes this is missing at all levels of government.
