This week marks the second anniversary for Obamacare (PPACA)! Studies just published say it will cost more than DOUBLE of what originally thought. 67 percent of Americans don’t like the Health Care Bill. The midterm 2010 election results, with the democrats losing 63 seats in a House election, were based on a citizen uprising, a true revolt against Obamacare and the huge national debt. Voters know that if Obama is reelected, Obamacare is here to stay! I grew up in Canada where my Father was a heart surgeon.

Because of Socialized Medicine, he had a two-year waiting list of patients to get heart surgery. Many would die waiting their turn. He would operate on as patients every day to save more lives. I had emergency brain surgery three years ago here in Arizona. I had an MRI, CT scan and surgery in 24 hours. I know I would have died waiting my turn for an MRI, CT scan and surgery in Canada. Our system isn’t perfect, but can be improved.

Governor Mitt Romney would repeal Obamacare! Romney thought of the conservative alternative to National Health Care and had it been adopted in the 49 other states, would have killed Obamacare from the beginning by solving the health insurance problem at the state level.

Governor Romney is committed to repealing Obamacare. He will balance the budget without raising taxes, encourage everyone to succeed, create jobs, open up pipelines, drilling, restore our strength at home and abroad and protect our religious and Constitutional freedoms.

Sorry, but Romney won't do any of those things since he won't be elected. The fix is in. The national media will do everything it can to embarrass Romney and paint him to be a bigot who follows a non-Christian church. THey will brand him as a spoiled rich guy who is out of touch with the average working stiff. They will tell horror stories of what will happen to you if Obamacare goes away. And they will tell you stories of how Obama is one of us - a working guy. Obama will be portrayed as thoughtful, intellegent, caring and humble. Worst of all, the media will continue the liberal tirade against the "rich", demanding they pay their fair share. And that's all it'll take. Given how stupid and out of touch and naive most Americans are, they will vote D. It's tragic that so many people will vote their party, regardless of the outcomes. It's too bad that despite the liberal rhetoric, religion will become part of the debate, while because of political correctness, the president will be immune from other complex social discussions.

Heather Sandstrom: “This week marks the second anniversary for Obamacare (PPACA)!”

    -------------------------------------------------

The second year anniversary of the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (better known as “ObamaCare”) since President Obama signed it into law in March of 2010 . . . And the White House is noticeably silent about the law's two-year anniversary, because, Monday, March 26, the law goes before the U.S. Supreme Court, which will hear arguments on whether the law violates the Constitution.

The nine high court Justices will hear arguments from lawyers on the constitutionality of a provision at the heart of the law and other related questions about the act.

Arguments about mandates within the “ObamaCare” law:

∙ The requirement that all Americans must buy health insurance by 2014 or pay a penalty.

∙ A mandate that will require several health insurance plans to pay a monthly fee for abortion coverage.

Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney advocates repealing and replacing the health care system with one that gives states and individuals more control, while President Obama is trying to draw attention to what he says are benefits of the “ObamaCare” law.

    Enough with the BULL, Heather.

I've golfed with dozens of Canadians who absolutely love the Canadian health care system, in fact one guy told me he had heart failure and he was immediately flown to a larger city, successful surgery followed and they even flew his wife seperately and paid for her hotel while he was hospitalized. And the 8 drugs he takes since are costing him less than $25.00 month.

In fact they all have to buy supplemental insurance while traveling in the US because their Canadian coverage won't cover the high expenses if they are hurt or get sick while here in the US.

Our health system is pathetic and if you survey Canadians, you'll know doubt get 75-80% who absolutely love it!

Stop whining and tell the truth!

Well mistakes do get made in our medical system. Heather is a good example. She had brain surgery and they forgot to put it back in.

Obama will win the Election. Don't bother giving any money to the Romney Campaign, instead give to the Arizona Republican Party to elect Republicans to Local, State and Federal Offices.

By "Republicans"....I don't me....R.I.N.O.'S (Republicans In Name Only) like.....JEFF FLAKE and MATT SALMON..........THE ..."UTAH COMPACT TWINS"...........WHO NEVER MET AN ILLEGAL ALIEN FROM MEXICO OR POINTS SOUTH THAT THEY DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE.............AMNESTY.......TO.

MR. MATT "ETCH-A-SKETCH" ROMNEY....IS SAYING ALL THE RIGHT THINGS NOW BUT IF HE IS ELECTED HE WILL BE TAKING HIS ....."P's and QUES" ....FROM ...TEMPLE SQUARE IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.

IF YOU WANT 30,000,000 MEXICAN, GUATAMALAN, EL SALVADORAN AND HONDURAN ILLEGAL ALIENS TO GET FULL........"AMNESTY".....VOTE FOR "FLIP-FLOP" ROMNEY.....THE FACT THAT HE "DODGED" THE VIETNAM DRAFT BY HIDDING BEHIND ........"5...COUNT THEM.....5 DEFERRMENTS"....WHICH MEANT THAT SOME OTHER YOUNG MAN HAD TO FILL HIS SLOT AND GO TO VIETNAM IN ROMNEY'S PLACE..........SHOULD TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT .....ROMNEY'S LACK OF CHARACTER AND PATRIOTISM.

    Hey Heather,

Haven't you heard? ObamaCare is really RomneyCare and Romney's got an Etch-a-sketch! Sandorum says if we don't elect him, we might as well stay with Obama! I guess that's the best endorsement Rick can make.

Heather, the two systems are completely different. Canada has a single-payer system, so that doctors are paid by the government, not by individual insurance companies. Obamacare requires everyone to purchase insurance from a PRIVATE company.
In the US, under the present system or under Obamacare, the government is not involved in making decisions about your health care-- insurance company accountants do that. In your case, you got the MRI because it was an emergency situation; I have a close friend whose doctor recommended an MRI but it can't be scheduled until the accountant says it's okay. Would your surgeon father have been happy to have all of his decisions second-guessed by an insurance company?

Does any one know where I can get a Mitt Romney personally autographed Etch-a-sketch? Sales of this fine toy have climbed 3000% over this past week. Where Bain Capital holds shares of Toy-R-Us, another hyphonated name, has lightening struck twice or, is this really Romney's personal stimulus plan, one that Santorum unknowingly plays a key role in promoting?

So where to go for an Etch-a-sketch?

From Forbes magazine, hardly a liberal bailiwick.

"How could anyone take a $50 billion improvement in the projections over last year and turn it into an alleged doubling of costs?

Here’s how. You pick a big number and then use it to either tell the world you do not possess the most basic understanding of the actual math or you just out-and-out lie about what the number means.."

    Read the article here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2012/03/15/anti-obamacare-forces-introduce-their-latest-effort-to-mislead-the-public/?utm_source=alertsnewpost&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign

Better yet read the actual CBO report here: http://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/files/cbofiles/attachments/03-13-Coverage%20Estimates.pdf

Heather, didn't your mother teach you that it's not nice to lie?

    As for Canadian health care:

Life expectancy at birth - CIA World Fact Book 2009 estimates:

    Canada 81.23
    US 78.11
    Difference 3.12 years

For those mathematically challenged that means the average Canadian lives three years longer than the average American

Infant mortality - CIA World Fact Book 2009 estimates:

    Canada 5.04
    US 6.26
Difference 1.22 babies die in their first year of life per 1,000 live births

For those mathematically challenged there are over about 4.1 million live births in the US per year. About 26,000 of these babies die in their first year of life in the US. If the US had the same infant mortality rate as Canada, 21,000 would die.

5,000 babies would still be alive every year if our health care system performed as well as the Canadian. The heartache, grief and pain of these extra 5,000 deaths in the United States can hardly be overstated. It is a horrendous failure not only of our health care system, but of our whole way of governing ourselves that we let an extra 5,000 babies die each and every year.

And for what? Some ideological nonsense.

Then there's the expense. Total (both government and private) per capita health care expenditures based on purchasing power parity in US dollars - 2009 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development estimates:

    Canada $3,696
    US $6,933
    Difference $3,237

For those mathematically challenged that means the US spends almost twice as much per person on health care as the Canadians. The US spends almost an extra one Trillion dollars per year on health care. We would have essentially no budget deficit, little national debt if only we spent the same per capita on health care as the Canadians.

To put it in a bit broader context than just comparisons with Canada, the US has the world’s most expensive health care system and the worst health care outcomes of any developed country.
