The continued belief among conservative radicals that President Obama conducted an “apology” tour early in his administration proves that these people are not really interested in the truth.
While the president did make comments indicating that his administration was going to be conducting a different type of diplomacy than his predecessor had, in no way were apologies made. Karl Rove, the nefarious architect behind George II’s rise to power, created this myth by misquoting and taking out of context comments Obama made in different speeches around the world. The Washington Post analyzed these accusations in a Feb. 22, 2011 piece and easily dispelled them. This is easily found through a Google search.
Repeating falsehoods is a poor way to make your case.

Edward, repeating a lie is the old Big Lie idea -- repeat it enough, and it becomes part of our daily narrative.
So what if Obama didn't do that? As long as Fox News and its puppet -- Romney -- repeat it, their faithful will swallow it.
Problem is, the Fox News Faithful do not make up a majority of the voters. Which means that all Romney and Fox are doing is preaching to the choir.
Live by Fox News, Die by Fox News. That's the lesson Romney will learn, even if the Republican Party itself doesn't.

I completely agree with Mike that FOX which I like to call the “F” word is a huge reason why these type of lies get pushed as truths. But it isn’t just Fox, it is also the Republican talking heads on the radio, whose lies and outlandish views get streamed into so many markets, by the likes of people like Savage and Limbaugh.
They know who their audience is. It is a combination of bigots, people who are extremely partisan and uninformed. People who refuse to listen to any arguments against their positions. They don’t question whether what they are hearing is true, they just follow along like sheep and told what to think.

The same audience targeted by religious leaders...coincidence? ;)

Edward Murphy is only rationalizing over how Obama began his presidency "with an apology tour."
It was Mitt Romney who said that President Obama has traveled the world apologizing for America. And, Romney has said “I will not and never apologize for America. I don't apologize for America”.
In his speech accepting the Republican nomination for president at the Republican Convention, Mitt Romney repeated that President Obama has traveled the world apologizing for America.
"I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began with an apology tour. America, he said, had dictated to other nations. No, Mr. President, America has freed other nations from dictators," Romney said.

If Fox News is the channel for Lemmings, why do so many avout Liberals travel their to be heard? Maybe to try to achieve a sense of credibility?

And if the Washington Post says its so, then who can honestly argue. I mean that is almost as good as coming from the mouth of John Stewart or a monologue from David Letterman.

Hey, VofReason, can you find a single example of Obama traipsing the world apologizing for America, as Fox News Nation, Romney, Limbaugh and others claim?

Hey McClellan, can you honestly say Obamanure DIDN'T apologize for America? Were you there?

Good old Slabside, asking for proof of a negative.
Hey Slabside - prove I do NOT have a fire breathing dragon in my basement.
I DARE YOU. ;)

A single example of Obama apologizing for America?

How about when President Barack Obama apologized for the unintentional burning of the Qurans in Afghanistan? When fierce rioting Muslims in Afghanistan killed two American troops and wounded four others.
“I wish to express my deep regret for the reported incident,” Obama wrote in the letter presented to Afghan President Hamid Karzai by US ambassador Ryan Crocker. “I extend to you and the Afghan people my sincere apologies.”
Obama also wrote in the letter: “The error was inadvertent; I assure you that we will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible”.

Oh, we're gonna play that game, eh, Accuracy: Cite examples of Obama apologizing for a specific act.
Kinda like when another apologized for American soldiers' behavior:
Uh, a certain Republican President by the name of George W. Bush.
Apologized to Afghanistan when a soldier shot up a Koran
Apologized for Gen. Boykin's remarks about the Muslim religion
Apologized for a Muslim leader ordered from the White House
Apologized to Iraq for prisoner abuse
Apologized to China's leader after leader was heckled
Apologized to Egypt for Suez shooting
Did you, Accuracy, or any Republican leader argue that Bush was on an apology tour?
Didn't think so. Because Bush didn't. Just as Obama hasn't.
But for rabid Obama haters, all history began in 2009.
And maybe you're too young to remember Reagan's numerous apologies to other countries for our behavior. But no one then accused the President of going on an "apology" tour.
Nope. Only Obama has ever apologized for our country's behavior. No other President. Never.
What a crock.

FOX NEWS LIES? Great, first NBC doctors a 911 tape and now FOX News. Could someone please tell us the specific lie they told, and the facts to prove it was a lie? And perhaps you could try to convince us why MSNBC is more truthful and less biased?

Edward,
Obama is practicing a different type of foreign policy. A policy of apology, pandering and placating to the radical elements of Islam.

Yes, President George W. Bush did apologize to Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-MalikiIraq's in 2008 for an American sniper's shooting of a Quran, and the Iraqi government called on U.S. military commanders to educate their soldiers to respect local religious beliefs.
So now, President Barack Hussein Obama's international apologies issued since entering office in 2009, is all Bush’s fault?

Has everyone seen the apology ad that Obama and Hillary did for Pakistani TV.
Accuracy posted at 10:33 am on Fri, Sep 21, 2012.
The U.S. ad features President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and it is on seven Pakistani television stations in Pakistan.
Obama’s apology? The ad does denounce the anti-Islam film that has been blamed for the present riots in the Middle-East.
"An attack on the holy prophet is an attack on the core belief of 1.5 billion Muslims. Therefore, this is something that is unacceptable," said Pakistan's Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf – as tens of thousands of protestors tried to reach the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan.
