Considering the 432 cases of child sexual molestation Sheriff (Joe) Arpaio has not bothered to handle in El Mirage, it's way past time for the Sheriff to resign. The East Valley Tribune reported on these cases in 2008, and won a Pulitzer Prize for its efforts.
At this point Sheriff Arpaio's malfeasance in office, gross negligence, utter incompetence and complete lack of professionalism goes far beyond concerns of politics or ideology. He has been, and is, putting the entire community at risk both from dangerous criminals he has not pursued and from the illegal activities of his own deputies.
We need a better person for Sheriff. As Charles de Gaulle observed, "The cemeteries are filled with indispensable men."
Joe is not indispensable, and it's a good thing. Nearly 80 years old, he needs to retire. The sooner the better for the safety of everyone in the community.

Prior to Joe's election first time around, Joe promised us a professional sheriff. Relying on his Federal Experience [with the DEA if I recall correctly] many believed him. I doubt anyone expected Joe to be around this long!
We did not get a professional sheriff's department. Rather we got a public relations advocate. Any issue which would put Joe in front of a camera got his undivided attention. But few of use are interested in minorites and minority crime interests us even less. So no interest means no cameras. And no cameras means no Joe.
Go find something useful to do, Joe. We are tired of seeing your face on TV! And now that your reputation has become national news, you have become yet another imbarrassment for Arizona. We're not all surprised you endorsed Rick Perry for President. Rick's an embarrassment, too. Notice how silent John Walsh has been! Russell Pearce advocated SB1070 and you advocated Russell Pearce. You're next, Joe!

This is the filth in the Obama adminstration's reaction to SCOTUS undertaking judgement on Arizona SB1070. They know they are going to lose, possibly as early as June, and are making a pure desperation move to demonstrate to the Supreme court that immigration enforcement is racist, cruel, and unconstitutional. We will have to wait another entire year to flush this pile of waste down the toilet and out of office.

The only embarrassment for Arizona is Dale, Bob and all the rest of the minority of illegal alien promoters in this state. Obozo and his illegal alien DOJ are really getting desperate now that the Supreme Court is about to rule SB1070 constitutional and the rest of the states begin to copy Arizona's lead. They have to do something or lose the Hispanic vote. Going after real American hero's is the lowest tactic but could work to help get it reelected.

I know you believe in enforcing laws, especially immigration laws, and think Arpaio is the only one dedicated enough to do it to suit your tastes. But the only reason this report was issued was that Joe left his back side uncovered in failing to investigate, much less enforce the laws against molesting young girls. I just can't understand how a Latino like you can't see this forest for the trees? Arpaio has been on my list of "worst persons" practically since his election. So I have been seeing the seedling forest from its inception.

It is no coincidence that a number of states are taking the same tact as AZ in going after illegal immigrants. They too do not believe that the federal government is doing it's primary purpose in securing it's borders and then hampering states by making them pay for the results of illegal immigration. It is concerning if the Sheriff's office did not protect children from preditors, but interesting our friend Dale became a protector of children and abortionists in the same month. Ironic really. I see what appear to be various illegal alien auto-replys in response to my concerns about the actual dangerous criminals the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is not pursuing. Such responses are simply irrelevant and silly.
The vast majority of murderers murder only once, but the vast majority of sex offenders do so repeatedly until stopped – 10, 20, 100 times. As reported in this newspaper more than three years ago, there are 432 such cases which the Sheriff essentially did not investigate. The recently released Department of Justice report details the case of one of the child molesters who was not pursued three years ago, and who has recently been arrested for yet another sexual attack on a child.
Only now has the Sheriff suggested hiring an “expert” to look into the matter. It does not take an expert to know that you gather forensic evidence, interview victims and pursue identified suspects. The time for any outside help was far more than three years ago. Sex crimes are not new to the 21st century.
432 cases! How many does it take before you recognize this is as a complete meltdown of the Sheriff’s primary law enforcement responsibilities? 600? 1,000? 10,000?

first off... before everyone jumps to "conclusions" of the Sheriffs guilt.... just remember WHO is doing this investigative reporting. I do not trust ANYTHING that comes from the DOJ's office anymore, they are powerful people with their own agendas. look how they have lied and covered up the Fast & Furious issue, and look how they have sued and cost us tons of $$ for lawyers fees to fight their lawsuits. Obama hates our Govenor, our Sheriff because they have exposed him for his failures to protect our borders, and besides that, the Sheriff is investigating the Pres. legal birth documentation, therefore he's a threat to Obama's re-election. this is either ANOTHER ploy to break our State financially with stupid law suits, or to get even with people who embarass or disagree with him, or to win the Latino vote, at any rate UNTIL the Sheriff has been proven guilty, I won't believe one word that comes from the Fed.
