Brindy,
You're exactly right, the duplicity is created, fed and furthered by the police and the elected officials they report to. There's no reason we can't have a countywide police force like is used in many congested metro areas. At a minimum police departments could easily adopt the fire department model where city limit lines mean little and all resources are shared equally without worrying about who gets credit for fighting a fire or saving a person's life.

Yes indeed, the leads are important. Please, can we have the Glengarry leads? Opps, never mind, I forgot, coffee is for closer.
So, former officer Mike thinks we need better regional information? Sure, not a problem. Get rid of all the redundant police departments, like Mesa et. al. and just have ONE at each County level. Geez, that sure sounds like the Sheriffs Office.
Sorry Bill. The duplicity you bellyache about is created by the police principalities themselves.

Curry Rd. is closer to ASU than it is to Scottsdale. [wink]

I agree with the regional approach, Bill. The Scottsdale "boarder" (sic) is really the border of Tempe and ASU even though some would believe that the Tempe Lake, with or without water, is some sort of dividing line for murderers.
Whether this is the 37th time or the 3,700th time, thanks, Bill, for keeping the issue alive.

Stick to the facts, less sensationalism. J.C. Call was not killed on the 'edge of campus" you idiot! His death was reported in North Tempe, on the Scottsdale boarder. There is enough going on in our communities without a has been burned out cop like you trying to stir Sh!* up. Also, why don't you try a some original journalism, this is the 37th time you have blogged about a "regional approach" to solving crimes. Now, get back to watching Oprah Bill!

It's very important to generate leads from the start. In my opinion, you can never have enough leads.....even if you have leads you are already following.
