I’m reading a lot about legislation nationwide and, more sadly, statewide, that seeks to deny a woman’s capacity to make her own medical decisions. It seems as if local Arizona politicians speak a lot about freedom and the idea of less government in our daily lives. Methinks they speak hypocritically as it seems there is a lot of legislation around lately to deny freedom. I’m reminded of a great quote:
“Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.” — Abraham Lincoln

Slab: I think I heard the Walgreens hotline ringing for you as well. :-) The right wing religious zealots always scream that their freedom of religion and personal rights are being eroded when in fact they have no problem applying their Taliban rule upon everyone else.

Telling me what 'God does' is always rather funny. Used to tune into Oral Roberts for a laugh or two. He told you, I know. He's a blabbermouth, runs around telling people things. Then, of course, they run around killing people. I guess 'God' has a really wicked sense of humor.

I don't know Slabside. What leads you to believe that I find a connection? I have only two posts on this letter, this one and the one I addressed to Kristine. I just re-read Kristine's piece and my first post, too. Neither mentions the Florida issue.
