2nd venter, be very careful how you criticize the Gang of Three.
I posted comments about how the Gang of Three is guilty of Abuse of Authority and the system accepted them, but a couple of hours later they were gone.
As soon as an editor saw the comments they were deleted.
Have to protect the Unholy Trinity at all costs.

Venter #2.....The voters said yes by a very small margin. I think there would be a very different outcome if the vote was held again.
Venter #6....The wealthy's tax rate is higher on the wages (W-2) income. It is the same rate (15%) for all income levels for investment income (dividends, etc.). And your solution is????????????????

DRS39, although I enjoy computer games including shooters, I have to agree that there is merit in a discussion of the media.
Our society has a very warped view of what is proper.
I can sit in front of the tube watching people kill each other in many imaginative ways all night long.
No problem.
But let a curse word slip or a body part be revealed ( as though we don't all have them and as though kids haven't seen it all by 6th grade ) and all hell breaks loose and the government wants to fine the networks and station(s).

DRS39, I believe there is another component involved.
Nutrition. People eat many more processed foods than they used to.
I was raised back in the days when EVERY mother was a stay at home mother unless dire things had happened to her family financially.
When a family had another child, the company gave the husband a raise. Now they want to lay him off to keep from paying higher insurance to cover the new kid.
But the stay at home mothers COOKED FROM SCRATCH.
My Mom would have been appalled at the idea of flopping down TV dinners.
And, these factory made meals have tons of preservatives that are going into kids bodies with unknown results over the years.
We have kids entering puberty at 8 - 9 years old now.
SOMETHING HAS DRASTICALLY CHANGED.
And, the most logical and most obvious is the food supply and methods of delivery.
Instead of home made meals made from scratch, people eat fast food and frozen foods. Both parents HAVE to work to make ends meet ( if they are lucky ).
No time or energy for cooking from scratch anymore.
I, personally, lay a lot of the blame for the increase in mentally disabled kids and the violent outbursts on preservatives in the food chain.
